Memories

I've seen this on several of my siblings' blogs, and it looks like such fun that I thought I'd give it a whirl:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

I remember hanging out at your apartment in Wymount a lot when Brooke was little. Wait- I think it was Wymount... anyway, I think I stayed the night there once, and Brooke was on her little incubator. Awww....

And I remember all those good times we went jogging this summer. All two of them, cause I'm lazy. ;)

This game is lots of fun-my friends in Reno are doing it right now too.

I have lots of memories of the good old days. From Choir concerts and tour(remember the sunburns?) to sleepovers at my house, and HS dances and going to college for the first time. I think you were my only friend that first year of college! :) You're the best-and I am so glad that we have been friends all these years.

I especially remember when you cut your hair in HS. It was so cute!

I remember when we were little and shared a bed (because by that time there were so many kids we couldn't all have our own bed, I guess).

When you got scared at night you would want to hold my hand. But you were already so scared of germs that before you would touch my hand you'd ask, "Did you wash your hands after the last time you went to the bathroom?" And now Evan is scared of bathroom germs, too!

Becky!!!
I just read your post on my blog and have come to check out yours. I will have to update mine later. :) I am so thrilled to hear from you!!! I cried! I have thought about you so much, too and have always longed to hear how you are and if you are happy. You have always been one of my dearest friends! Wow, this is so amazing after all these years!
Lets see, one of my memories of you... I remember that you were so kind and fun. I remember we would play games when you came to my house for piano lessons or swing on the swings or just talk. I remember we used to tease you because you were the shortest of all of us and you had beautiful long dark hair. It looks like you still do! I remember drawing with you or writting a book (or something like that). I remeber you were my very special and dearest friend in the whole world!! You were my shining example of good!!! I am so glad to see that you are having a wonderful life like you deserve!

The first time I met you was the first memory I thought of. It was at the Jordanelle Triathlon. Jeff invited me to go with him to baby-sit Brooke and Evan while you and Vince did the triathlon. They were so much fun and then Jeff and Vince disappeared and it was just you and me. I was so nervous because Jeff and I weren't dating yet (but I wanted to!) and I wanted you to like me. You were so nice and fun to talk to. And still are!

I remember late-night runs to Wendy's to get JBCs and frostees from the dollar menu when we were roommates in Provo.

Oh, the good times.

Also, I remember calling you something like 'Little Miss Perfect' in a fit of rage (somewhere around the age of 8 or so) and making you cry.

Er. Sorry about that.

Hmmm... so many memories, so little time! I remember sitting down with you right before you and Vince were married and giving you the talk about you-know-what. Mom had given it to me, and told me it was now my duty to give it to my sisters. I'm laughing now, just thinking about it!

I remember, you were always so good. You were the one that always did the right thing when we were little. I think I was the little monster. I also remember how terribly gullible you and Beth both were. You'd believe anything I told you!

I love you!

I met you at the Ogden marathon and I thought you were so nice and spunky! Your smile made me smile and I was just so glad to hang out with you pre race.

I didn't do Missoula. Didn't want to spend the money on gas to get there. I really loved the Deseret news course. So pretty! I am happy that I finished. I was just hoping to do it faster!

I haven't known you very long, but when you came over to my house for lunch I was struck by how you really ARE Smiley Mama, just like your screen name : ). Glad to have you among my friends.
